Unlike traditional petroleum-based plastics that persist for centuries, bioplastics like PLA and PBAT are derived from renewable, biological sources such as corn starch, sugarcane, or agri-waste. When disposed of correctly in industrial composting environments, they break down into organic matter, carbon dioxide, and water, significantly reducing environmental waste and persistent landfill accumulation.
